
Refund, Cancellation, and Rescheduling Policy for The Homestead Nottawa

At The Homestead Nottawa, your booking is a spot reserved only for your dog. A late cancellation or change leaves an empty spot and a missed opportunity for us to fill with another dog. We understand that plans can change, so we aim to be flexible and maintain the integrity of our scheduling to ensure the best possible service for all our clients. As such, we have our policy regarding cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds of services that we ask all clients to review. You agree to these terms when booking services with The Homestead Nottawa. We appreciate your cooperation.​

Refund, Cancellation, and Rescheduling for Daycare, Basic Grooming, and Wellness Services
24 Hour Notice

The Client agrees to provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling for daycare, grooming, and wellness services:

Cancellations with at least 24 hours’ notice will not incur charges.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in a charge for the full service fee or deducted a package credit. No-shows without any notice will be charged the full fee or deducted a package credit.

No refund will be granted if you are denied services due to inadequate or lack of proof of vaccination or if you have failed to, or refuse to, sign The Homestead Nottawa’s Terms and Conditions.

Refunds are not issued for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled service.

In cases of emergency where the cancellation policy cannot be adhered to, The Homestead Nottawa may consider exceptions at its discretion, but this is not guaranteed.

Refund, Cancellation, and Rescheduling for Boarding Services
7 Days Notice

Reservation Changes: Changes to your boarding reservation, such as room type or date adjustments, may result in an increase or decrease in the total price.

Cancellation Window: Boarding reservations can be cancelled or modified to shorten the duration of the reservation without penalty until 6 PM, seven days prior to your scheduled drop-off date. Lengthening the duration of the reservation may be done at any time but is subject to availability.

Deposit Amount: A deposit covering one night's boarding fee, including any applicable taxes and fees, is required at the time of booking.

Deposit Forfeiture: If a boarding reservation is cancelled within seven days of the scheduled drop-off date, or if you fail to arrive on your scheduled date, the reservation will be automatically cancelled, and your deposit will be forfeited.

Any additional services or add-ons cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled service date, or not redeemed during the boarding period, will result in the forfeiture of the add-on amount.

How to Cancel or Reschedule

You may cancel your scheduled appointment in your account through our online portal before the notice deadline (24 Hour Notice for daycare and other appointments; 7 Days Notice for boarding reservations)

Last-Minute Requests to Extend Booking

If, due to unforeseen circumstances out of your control, you need to extend your booking while your dog is already in our care, please email us at reception@thehomesteadnottawa.com with the subject "Urgent Request" to see if we can accommodate your request. Additional fees may apply.
